Fascinating history, architectural greatness, and Mediterranean scent, all in a walk surrounded by panoramic seascapes and the majestic Monte Argentario.
Nowadays Monte Argentario is connected to the coast of Maremma by two strips of land, forming a lagoon, but the walk will lead us to charming spots, where it will be easy to figure out the ancient times when it was an island…
The road takes us to two Spanish forts, that were part of a defense system of a small but strategic city-state, founded in the 16th century and destroyed soon after. Those forts overlook Porto Ercole, a small, fascinating town and its natural harbor.
